That's who it's built for. Desk staff and managers use Slack, Teams, or Google Chat; floor staff get schedules, shift offers, and reminders by SMS in their own language — no app install, no portal login.
Is this just a time-off bot?
No. Time off is the front door, but the same system runs timesheets, overtime, time bank, shift scheduling with role qualifications, contracts, and on-call — a real system of record, not a bot that pings a manager and forgets.
Can I run different policies per team or country?
Yes — leave types, accrual rules, holiday calendars, overtime and time-bank policies, and approval routing are all per-policy, so a UK office and a Brazilian floor team run side by side in one account.
Which plans include the chat and SMS channels?
Slack, Teams, and Google Chat are on Professional and up. SMS-based overtime and open-shift broadcasts come with the Business and Enterprise scheduling features.
How long does it take to set up?
Most teams are live in under 30 minutes. Add your people (or sync Azure AD or Google Workspace), set your leave policies, connect Slack, Teams, or SMS, and you're running.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
Your plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle, and you can export everything during that time. After it ends we keep your data for 30 days in case you come back, then remove it. GDPR export and deletion tools are on every plan.
Do I pay for part-time or seasonal staff?
You only pay for active employees. Archive seasonal workers when they're off and reactivate them later with their history intact.
Does TimeLeaf handle timesheets and payroll?
It tracks time and exports it. Employees submit weekly timesheets, managers approve them, and approved hours export to CSV on every plan or sync directly to QuickBooks Online (any region) and Xero (AU, NZ, and UK organizations — Xero has no payroll API for the US or Canada) on Professional and up. TimeLeaf feeds your payroll. It doesn't run payroll itself.
